DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a remote talented AvK Product (Cummins Generator Technologies) Sales Manager – US to join our team specializing in Sales for our Power Systems Business Segment in the US.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Develops long-term, cross region strategic business relationships with influencers of sales of AvK Products (Cummins Generator Technologies); Key Influencer Customers such as architects, design engineers, design consultancy owners, specialty and general contractors, OEMs, dealers, channel partners).
• Builds excellent relationships and trust with Key Influencer Customers’ business executives, internal leadership and technical personnel. Sets the strategic approach, e.g., existing targeted firms and individuals while also searching out potential new firms and individuals to influence. Identifies Key Influencer Customer needs/priorities. Accountable for being the subject matter expert for technical assistance to sales and technical support personnel at Key Influencer Customers (e.g., understand the different codes and standards applicable to each product / region, help them make sense of data on AvK product solutions).
• Utilizes market and competitor research as well as customer research to prospect and identify potential sales opportunities. Reports potential sales opportunities in the CRM system. Ensures that opportunities are consistently reported and tracked.
• Works to influence product/project specifications and purchasing behaviors within Key Influencer Customers. Tracks success of this work.
• Act as a champion for the voice of the customer within the business, for example by sharing local trends and market conditions with Marketing.
• Works closely with the sales organization to understand business needs and targets such as the annual sales plan, gross margin objectives, market share, etc.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Demonstrated expertise in highly specified, complex rotating electrical machinery and technical application.
• Specific understanding and knowledge in application-specific features and certifications. (ex. military, marine, turbines, O&G)
• Proven understanding of value chain for High-Horsepower Engine applications (large bore, multi-speed, etc).
• Demonstrated, high degree of knowledge and expertise in AvK type products and/or competitive products.

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
