Job Description
Job Title: Associate Director
Job Status: Regular, Full Time (40hrs/week) ($30/hr; Estimated Annual Salary $62,400 plus benefits)
Office Location: SASSMM Brunswick Office, with remote work from home, as necessary.
Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for the day-to-day organizational management of SASSMM staff, programs, service provision, and grants/financial oversight.
Representative Duties:
Program & Policy Management
- Contribute directly to SASSMM strategic planning, program development, and management
- Develop and modify office procedures, protocol, and inter-agency communications in coordination with the SASSMM Executive Director
- Provide program supervision for SASSMM’s Client, Education, Systems, and Midcoast Children’s Advocacy programs
- Oversee data entry and database reporting for all SASSMM staff and participate in/inform MECASA database committee and workgroup meetings
- Contribute to Finance Team (with Executive Director and Finance Director) for finance administration (internal control for accounts payable/receivable and QuickBook entries), accounting supervision, grant management, budgeting, grant development and outcomes
- Monitor staff entries for accuracy across funding sources in staff’s Harvest weekly timesheets
- Assist Executive Director in preparation of grant reports, as needed
- Plan and co-facilitate team meetings (Staff meetings, Anti-Racism Meetings. Etc.)
- Represent SASSMM at public appearances, association meetings, provider & community meetings, and community events, as needed
- Facilitate coordination of Staff Group Consultation sessions with external consultant (consultant debriefs, staff survey processing, etc.)
Client Services
- Oversee management and provision of all aspects of direct client services
- Oversee SASSMM compliance with MECASA quality assurance standards
- Provide scheduled on-call (and unscheduled Emergency Back Up) coverage for 24/7 Statewide Sexual Assault Helpline
- Provide direct service for clients associated with the helpline, online helproom, staff, or external referrals, as needed
- Co-facilitate SASSMM Advocate Training for new staff and volunteer advocates, as needed
- Provide clinical consultation to the Midcoast Children’s Advocacy Center, as part of their national accreditation process
- Provide support group coordination and co-facilitation, as needed.
- Review professional literature and provide current information on relevant books, articles, students, practices regarding sexual violence to share with clients, team members, and the community, as able
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker, preferred.
- At least five-years of experience working in human services or equivalent related experience
- Demonstrated leadership ability and effective oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to relate to community members and agency personnel in an effective, mature and professional manner
- Resourcefulness, energy, initiative and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work remotely and independently
- Training or experience working with diverse and underserved populations
- Awareness of, and sensitivity to, issues of sexual violence
- Ability to respond to people in crisis and an open-minded nature
- Public speaking experience
Accountability: Accountable to the Executive Director regarding all agency programming and operations.
