Role: Assistant Company Secretary REF 80476
Contract Length: 
4 months
Location: London – 3 days per week in office – 9.00am to 5.00pm and the remaining 2 days remotely.
IR35: Inside
Pay Rate to Intermediary: Market Rate
Security Clearance: DBS

 

Spinwell is recruiting for an Assistant Company Secretary for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSISTANT COMPANY SECRETARY

  • Organise and prepare agendas and take minutes of board meetings and annual general meetings.
  • Maintain statutory books, including registers of members, directors and secretaries.
  • Deal with correspondence, collating information and writing reports, ensuring decisions made are communicated to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to meeting discussions and advise members of the legal, governance, accounting and tax implications of proposed policies.
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and taking appropriate action. Liaise with external regulators and advisers.
  • Responsible for the health and safety of employees and managing matters related to insurance and property.
  • Develop and oversee systems that ensure the company complies with all applicable codes, in addition to its legal and statutory requirements.
