DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a talented Area Vice President for Mining Operations to join our team! This is a hybrid role with 50% travel, primarily throughout British Columbia and Alberta, Canada.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Responsible for managing customer relationships, delivering business results and people leadership for a group of branches in British Columbia and Alberta. In this role you will manage branches through Branch managers.
• Responsible for all functions and financial metrics for the group of branches.
• Drive customer satisfaction for the Branches as measured by Net Promoter Score and Lens of the Customer programs; develop a culture of customer service; recruit, develop, motivate, and retain high quality customer service employees.
• Develop the Annual Operating Plan with input from Sales and Branch Managers; manages the business to the Annual Operating Plan; monitors all appropriate business metrics including Branch balanced scorecards, profit and loss metrics, and asset metrics.
• Ensure business growth by delivering world class customers experience for customers, developing annual sales plans, and developing new business partners and alliances for the business unit or geography.
• Build a deep understanding of Cummins’ business in the region, globally, and across all business units.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Bachelors degree is required and preferred in a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience including managerial, budgetary, and strategy experience.
• Relevant work experience leading mining and/or oil and gas industry is required.
• Relevant work experience in labor relations and managing union relationships is preferred.
• Proven experience coordinating global supply chain to provide parts to mining and oil and gas customers, including Inventory mgmt., scheduling, etc.
• Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and proven ability to deliver results.
