Would you like to share your passion for aquatics with others? Would you like to use your knowledge and skills to provide successful aquatics programs? As the aquatics program director, you will be responsible for organizing, monitoring, supervising, and maintaining aquatics programs at the Y.
If hired for this position you will provide an impactful member experience by designing, implementing, and evaluating programs, activities and events open to all members. You will ensure high quality member-focused aquatics programs by providing leadership and hands-on instruction in groups and on a one-on-one basis.
In this position you may be responsible for maintaining quality preschool swim lessons, special events and break week programming, private swim lessons, parent/child swim lessons, swim for exceptional children, and/or water fitness. You will direct and supervise aquatics program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives. You may also oversee onboarding for new staff.

Are you a good fit?

- You have a Bachelor’s degree and/or two years related knowledge and experience.
- You have experience in supervision, fiscal management, program development, staff and volunteer development.
- You have experience in planning, organizing, and implementing age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.
- You have demonstrated skills in customer service, public relations, organizational skills, communications, supervision, computer knowledge, and file maintenance.
- You have current Lifeguard, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certifications.
- You are excited to assist the staff leadership team in reaching annual campaign goals through recruiting campaigners, making personal asks and supporting branch events.
