Job Description
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Application Engineer for our industrial engine applications and components business who will contribute to the further business growth by providing technical expertise on complex client projects.
This role sits within our distribution business unit, based in Stockholm area or your remote home office in Sweden with extensive national travel expected.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Be the first technical point of contact to our customers, make decisions in the areas of product selection, design, validation of applications, performance test, installation and integration that impact OEM machine performance, optimization, quality and develop strong working relationships with customer technical counterparts.
• Ensure products are applied and installed correctly to meet customer system requirements and environments, assure installation quality by validating prototype machine performance.
• Troubleshoot complex problems and recommend appropriate actions, engage with the improvement of systems and processes.
• Compile and analyze technical product data for tenders based on bespoke, technical specifications of our customers.
• Partner and collaborate with other business functions to offer technical knowhow on a range of products and projects and strive to improve processes and practices, looking at how we can offer better solutions for our customer.
• Lead small lean engineering projects or larger scale projects with both internal and external stakeholders, participate as a key contributor and be responsible for project success.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Mechanical engineering degree is strongly preferred, or equivalent engineering work experience within the diesel, hybrid or renewable industrial engine business, coming from OEM environment is strongly preferred.
• Must be willing to travel up to 50% to visit client sites, once safe to do so.
• Fluent English & communicative Swedish language skills.
• Natural relationship building skills with a desire to provide a high level of customer satisfaction, commercially aware with a genuine passion for the industry and the brand.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
