Part-Time ALD – Hourly Paid Lecturer

Job Description

£24.97 – £32.35 per hour dependant on level of teaching qualification  

5 hours per week 

Thursday: 10:00am – 15:00pm  

Various weeks per annum 

Common Leys Campus 

Fixed term 

To design and deliver a gardening and crafts course for adults with learning disabilities, based at Abingdon and Witney College’s Common Leyes Farm site, Witney.  

The course runs every Thursday between 10.00 and 3.00. There are two sessions from 10.30-12.30 focused on gardening skills and activities, and from 1.00 to 3.00 focused on craft-based skills and activities.  

The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with adults with a range of learning disabilities, with extensive knowledge of gardening-related skills and activities and skilled in designing and developing craft-based activities suitable for this cohort. 

Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, training opportunities exist within the College and we can support you in gaining your Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET), within your first year of joining the college.
