Full-Time Agile Product Owner (MSP)
Job Description
SUMMARY
Serves as the customer proxy on one or more Agile teams in Black Knight’s Servicing Technologies Product Innovation division (STPI). Articulates and prioritizes stories in the team backlog and manages dependencies in support of STPI’s strategic initiatives. Responsible for accepting the stories as part of the team Definition of Done prior to release.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Works with Agile Teams to clearly communicate requirements outlined in User Story and Acceptance Criteria
Manages and refines Team backlog; identify and manage dependencies
Gathers and analyzes information from multiple sources
Works with Agile Teams to ensure User Stories meet Definition(s) of Ready and Done and delivering expected quality and value
Lead user story mapping sessions
Decomposes Features into User Stories that clearly articulate the “why” and “what” needs to be completed
Participates in large group planning sessions and collaborates with Product Owners
Assists in prioritization of scope of technical enabler work along with new business functionality
Support Product Manager in developing product vision, roadmaps and understanding ROI
Demonstrates servant leadership, team empowerment and self-organization by empowering teammates to solve problems on their own, and cultivate relationships across the organization
Collaboration with Stakeholders, Program Team, Product Managers, Product Owners, and Teams within the Agile Release Train (ART) to help prioritize and deliver on shared objectives
Performs other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
Requires 5+ years of Agile product owner, business, technical analysis, or consulting experience
MSP bankruptcy experience required
Ability to travel up to 10%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
One or more Agile certifications (SAFe preferred)
Understands and can demonstrate Agile and/or SAFe principles/practices
Experience working in ADO in a scaled agile environment
Mortgage or Financial Technology industry experience
Familiarity with Black Knight products and services
Proficiency in defining User Story acceptance criteria using GWT format (Behavior-Driven Development)
Ability to interact with internal stakeholders and be the voice of the customer
Ability to understand, articulate and document user perspectives
Ability to understand dashboards, metrics and how data impacts metrics
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, teams, individual contributors)
