Job Description
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Develop and validate appropriate single and multiphase flow, heat transfer and chemical reaction models in 3-D CFD / 1-D framework to support aftertreatment system research and product development activities
• Champion “Analysis Led Design” in evaluation of aftertreatment system performance by developing innovative design concepts and using appropriate simulation methodologies
• Evaluate supplier-provided and commercially available aftertreatment modeling tools to select the most appropriate tools for CES tasks
• Lead the development of Reduced Order Models and Multi-Disciplinary Optimization methodologies to efficiently evaluate aftertreatment system performance
• Train and support internal users of designer level simulation tools
• Collaborate with test engineers to obtain test data for model validation and derivation of robust analysis acceptance limits
REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be succesful in this role you need the following:
• College, university, or equivalent Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required. Post-graduate (Master’s) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles.
• Minimum 3 years work experience in a similar role
• Proven experience and understanding of principles such as fluid mechanics, heat transfer and transport phenomena acquired through academic work, and demonstrated by applying engineering fundamentals to solve real-life engineering problems.
• Experience in, scientific computer programming and ability to productively use one or more CFD simulation packages such as FLUENT, CONVERGE, AVL-FIRE or Star CCM+ and programming languages such as MATLAB, Python or C++.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams to achieve technical solutions within agreed timeframes with moderate supervision

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
