Job Description

We are looking for a talented Advanced Dynamics & Tribology Technical Advisor to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Electronics and Fuel Systems Unit in Columbus, IN/ home office. (Hybrid)

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Focus on system dynamics modeling and tribological experiments and analysis and conduct experiments and numerical computations via third party and inhouse tools to determine dynamic performance and / or tribological robustness of components and systems.
• Creates, manages, improves, and applies computer modeling processes, testing and measurement methods that estimate and determine dynamics and / or tribological performance capability for fuel system components and systems.
• Uses systems knowledge and expertise to make decisions and recommendations in the area of design, testing, and data analysis that impact dynamic / tribological / structural performance of components and systems.
• Applies Principles of Dynamics and Vibration to determine motion of components and systems via numerical modeling and/or physical measurements; evaluates rigid and flexible body motion, natural frequencies, mode shapes, displacements, velocities, accelerations, friction, and wear to draw conclusions that influence design decisions with internal and external customers.
• Identifies representation of a system or system element by using suitable analytical tools and techniques to derive knowledge about the real system.
• Cultivates innovation by creating new and better ways for the organization to be successful.
• Constructs and calibrates multifactored structural analysis models and experiments

REQUIRED SKILLS:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 8 years of prior work experience OR Master’s Degree with 5 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in the field of dynamic modeling/analysis and/or tribology
• Must have experience with flexible multibody dynamics simulation (eg: AVL Excite) and ANSYS Mechanical software
• MATLAB, Python and GT Suite strongly preferred

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
