We are currently hiring for the position of:
ACCREDITATION COORDINATOR
Reporting to the Head, Festival Media Relations & Strategy, the Accreditation Coordinators help manage the media accreditation process for the TIFF 2021. These positions work closely with several members of the Communications team to accredit approximately 1,300 Canadian and international journalists.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in managing the accreditation of Canadian and international media for the Festival, including data entry, email correspondence, and responding to all media inquiries
- Provide administrative support to the Communications team as required
- Create and share daily and weekly reports on status of accreditation
- Research, evaluate, and make recommendations for new accreditations
- Liaise with the pass office and TIFF industry office to ensure timely delivery of accredited media
- Prepare accurate, thorough, and timely reports tracking information on all accredited media
CONTRACT DATES:
- May 31 to September 24, 2021
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-3 years of previous accreditation and media relations experience
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in communications, journalism or related field OR equivalent related work experience
- Exemplary organizational, analytical, and reasoning skills, with strong attention to detail
- Strong computer software skills: experience building database queries and reports
- Superior communications skills, tact and diplomacy
- Familiarity with local, national and international arts/entertainment media outlets and journalists
- Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
- Fluency in a second language considered an asset
