Full-Time Marketing Account Strategist

OVERVIEW

We are looking for an Account Strategist to develop, recommend and guide strategy for our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B digital marketing strategy, ideally in an agency setting.

THE JOB

The Account Strategist is a critical part of each client’s account team at Accelity. This role supports the client and our internal team with campaign development, strategic planning, results analysis, strategic consultation and more. To be successful in this role, you’ll do the following:

  • Manage marketing strategy for 6-10 clients on a monthly ongoing basis, with additional client project work as needed.
  • Help new clients lay the foundation of their marketing strategy via our client onboarding process, including target buyers, competitive analysis, sales & marketing alignment, content and campaign planning, and strategic marketing planning for the first 6-12 months of the engagement.
  • Drive campaign content strategy, in conjunction with the Marketing Account Manager and copywriter, to build a content roadmap and flesh out multi-channel campaigns each month.
  • Work closely with the Account Manager to concept and roll out strategies, tactics and campaigns on an ongoing basis for the client.
  • Review and analyze monthly marketing metrics with the Account Manager, then present those metrics to the clients with recommended strategy adjustments.
  • Join client meetings 2-4 times per month to guide campaign planning, strategic direction and results analysis.
  • Conduct quarterly account health checks and manage other client retention initiatives with the assigned Account Manager to increase NPS scores and average client tenure.
  • Serve as an escalation point for Account Managers who have a difficult client issue, such as strategy questions and budget discrepancies.
  • Continually evaluate and optimize client marketing processes to incorporate best practices learned across the agency; including monitoring for adoption within each client account.
  • Contribute to critical internal business initiatives and projects, from optimizing processes to researching/testing new strategies
  • Actively engage and participate in weekly team meetings and other team activities such as volunteering, happy hours, holiday celebrations and more (as COVID allows!)
  • Ability to collaboratively chart your own career path
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and supports company and department goals to enhance our operations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-8 years experience in B2B digital marketing strategy
  • Understanding of the full B2B buyer journey along with marketing strategies and tactics to support every stage
  • Experience helping B2B companies with brand/product messaging, brand awareness, lead generation, lead nurturing, content strategy, results analysis & optimization
  • High-level understanding of CRM/MAP systems and how they relate to digital marketing
  • Interpersonal skills and confidence to guide clients and navigate client challenges
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Ability to multitask and balance 6+ client accounts at one time
  • Ability to move quickly and scale client strategies up or down based on their budget
  • Positive attitude and proven work ethic
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and be a self-starter

APPRECIATED, BUT NOT REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in marketing, business or related field
  • Agency experience working with multiple accounts at once
  • Familiarity with marketing SaaS/software solutions
  • HubSpot knowledge or experience
  • Working knowledge of advertising platforms such as Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and Facebook Ads Manager
