Ball State University’s Client Services is welcoming applications for a new Account Strategist.

 

The Division of Marketing and Communications is a full-service, in-house partner to the colleges and units of Ball State. We develop strategic messaging consistent with Ball State’s mission, enduring values, strategic priorities, institutional identity (branding), and positioning. This position will serve as a University advocate who facilitates the University’s marketing plans and objectives. Ensures clear articulation of branding, strategic alignment, messaging, and positioning are reflected in the creative execution on all marketing materials. Partners with assigned colleges/units to identify and execute communication strategies targeted to external audiences including prospective students, donors, alumni, and influencers.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. At least two years of professional experience in journalism, public relations, and advertising, copywriting/editing, or related field. Demonstrated experience managing complex, high-profile, time sensitive materials. Excellent interpersonal, multi-project management and critical thinking skills; ability to communicate concepts and ideas clearly and persuasively.

 

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, public relations, communications, or related field. Three-to-five years of professional experience, including direct client contact in a public relations or advertising agency, not-for-profit organization, or university environment. Demonstrated mastery of high-quality, professional-level concept development, copywriting, and editing, including experience writing, editing, and organizing content for Web sites and other electronic publications/communications.
