Job Description
We are looking for a talented 3rd Shift Manufacturing Shop Operations Team Manager to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Engine Business Unit in Rocky Mount, NC. This position is responsible for achieving KPI targets on third shift in the assembly operation, with the support of 6 – 8 exempt team manager direct reports and has responsibility for approximately 375 hourly associates.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
* Coaches and develops team managers
* Monitors and ensures shift compliance with policies and standards
* Coordinates cross functional teams to drive continuous improvements to business KPIs
* Implements business initiatives
* Support senior ops leadership in strategic planning, budgeting, and development of initiatives
* Disseminates operational plans and communications to the shift
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
* Understanding of Health and Safety fundamentals
* Action oriented
* Manages, develops, and leads the daily activities of multiple production teams.
* Responsible for the daily activities of multiple production teams including managing team members, housekeeping, and meeting production targets.
* Works cross functionally to recommend and engage in improving safety, productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.
* Provides guidance and feedback for team members in accomplishing tasks and goals; sets expectations and clarifies responsibilities.
* Identifies training needs; develops and implements training plans.
* BS or higher (preferably engineering, business administration, or supply chain)
* 10+ years manufacturing leadership experience preferred
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
