Job Description

We are looking for a talented 2^ND Shift Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Power Systems business unit in Seymour, IN.

 

2^nd shift is 3pm – 1am. 12-hour shifts are possible.

 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

* Manufacturing Engineering support for Assembly, Hot Test, and Upfit/Paint areas within the plant.

* There will be responsibility to support the Operations team by providing the tools and written processes to do the work.

* Efficient and effective direct contributor and be willing to provide direct supervision as well as mentoring for hourly direct report.

* Must be capable and willing to work in cross functional teams with Operations, Quality, Materials, & HSE departments.

* Must be willing to adjust work schedule to meet production needs and have a desire to learn and grow in the role.

 

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

 

* Looking for candidate with 4-6 years manufacturing experience with previous experience managing.

* Must be a self-starter, capable and willing to work in cross functional teams with Operations, Quality, Materials, HSE, and skilled trades departments.

* Primary responsibilities will be for immediate line support/troubleshooting all processes, tools, and equipment for assigned areas, as well as leading/participating in specific improvement projects coordinated with 1st shift ME counterparts.

* Applicants must have strong communication skills to support shift to shift hand-off and Night Shift to Day Shift continuity as well as in shift stakeholders.

* Candidate should have previous experience working with PLCs (preferably Allen Bradley), DC (preferably Atlas Copco) torque equipment operation and programming and troubleshooting equipment/machine faults and failures.

* Utilization of Oracle material control systems, Information Management Systems, and non-system-based processes will be required.

* An understanding of manufacturing engineering processes and plant controls.

 

Compensation and Benefits

 

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
