Job Description
The Department of Sociology at Bishop’s University seeks applicants for a 10-month limited-term faculty appointment (LTA), beginning August 1, 2023. Additional information about the Department of Sociology and Bishop’s University is available at: www.ubishops.ca
We are seeking applicants with expertise primarily in Criminology and Socio-Legal Studies. Applicants should be able to teach Criminology (SOC208); Gender, Justice and the Law (WGS120); and Deviance (SOC230 and SOC331). The ability to teach courses which consider gender issues, the penal system, and social inequality is also an asset. The successful candidate must possess a PhD or be near completion and have a demonstrated ability to teach a total of six 3-credit courses over the fall and winter semesters.
