Job Description

We are looking for a talented Materials Compliance Global Leader to join our Corporate team in Columbus, IN or your remote office.

 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

* Lead single discipline staff engaged in various engineering, compliance or strategy projects and assignments.

* Manage extended team of dotted line reports within global Area Business Organizations.

* Represent Cummins within global trade organizations pertaining to on-highway regulations and environmental sustainability requirements.

* Expert level knowledge of compliance systems such as IMDS (International Materials Data Systems), CDX (Compliance Data Exchange), MCC (Material Compliance Connect) and iPoint.

* Ability to communicate compliance requirements in a clear concise way to project teams.

* Develop strategy for managing emerging regulatory requirements and communicate risks to senior leaders.

* Manage and direct day today activities of contractor resources.

* Apply advanced knowledge of discipline specific principles and practices. Manage the interpreting, communicating and ensuring all environmental requirements and standards are adhered to as they impact company products, facilities, or strategies.

Lead a medium size technical group and work under broad direction.

* Delegate and assign work, considering employee skills and development needs.

* Establish employee performance standards; works collaboratively to set goals and to address areas of deficiency.

* Influence business-area leadership decisions.

* Manage financial controls and risk, ensuring operations are executed within established budget.

* Identify issues, problems, and opportunities to support continuous improvement initiatives.

* Formulate employee and department development plans for transferring technical knowledge.

* Coach and motivate employees; provide guidance and direction on resolving problems and issues.

* Advise leaders regarding the identification and resolution of complex problems.

* Work with employees to establish their individual development and career plans.

Assess performance and provides feedback to direct reports.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

 

College, university, or equivalent degree required. Advanced or professional degree preferred.

 

Experience

 

8 – 10 years of relevant work experience, including leading projects and teams required.

 

Global travel not to exceed 20%
