About Our Camp
The Audubon Naturalist Society (ANS) seeks highly motivated and creative individuals for the 2021 Camp Audubon season. This summer, Camp Audubon will offer day programs for children ages 5-17, with a focus on ages 5-10. Camp is based at our 40-acre nature sanctuary in Chevy Chase, MD. General Schedule and Position Descriptions
Educators develop and lead outdoor nature and science camp programs for 12 campers and supervise college-age interns and high school volunteers. Positions are available from three to nine weeks with pay ranging from $720-$760 per week. The typical camp day runs from 8:30am-4pm.
Requirements
B.A/B.S in science or education
Experience working with children
Basic knowledge of natural history
Must enjoy working outside
Past camp experience a plus
COVID-19 Protocols
Camps will be 100% outdoors with an indoor classroom for inclement weather only. All campers and staff will be in masks at all times except during snack and lunch. Each camp group of 12 children and 3 staff will remain separate from other groups.
