JOB FAMILY DESCRIPTION Documents business requirements and translates them into solutions for Servicing applications. On point for gathering, analyzing, documenting, and translating the needs of the User to technical requirem ents and application flow storyboards. GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Works individually or within a team on technology business consulting projects
- Serves as liaison between end-users and the information technology organization consultants during IT and technology consulting projects.
- Translates business needs to define functional and technical requirements including application integration points, technical design, and application flow storyboards.
- Bridges business and technical communications and obtains knowledge of current system capabilities and interactions.
- Views Mortgage Servicing applications from a business and technical view.
- Expertly researches and documents client needs, technology, or regulations related to system design, enhancement, or software that will impact multiple platforms and/or applications.
- Defines requirements specifications and data models for product development and testing.
- Creates detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
- Creates detailed features, feature properties, feature content specifications from which programs will be written and to author business rules as necessary. We use stories versus features. The product owners for each car open the feature.
- Participates and supports agile team and program level ceremonies conducted by Scrum Masters and Release Train Engineers
- Participates as a direct internal resource for questions pertaining to new application functionality before and during UAT and PROD support.
- Assists with the creation of release notes and Implementations documentation.
- Ensures that questions and/or obstacles are identified quickly and resolved in a timely fashion.
- Facilitates communication between business and information technology from initial requirements to final implementation.
- Educates internal clients and the information technology organization on enhanced functionality and provides support as needed.
- Devises and/or modifies processes and procedures to achieve greater efficiencies and to solve the most complex business process problems related to computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
- Conducts a variety of tests such as system, integration, readiness, and acceptance tests. Conducts tests using client data to be certain client needs will be met.
EDUCATIONAL GUIDELINES A Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Any Agile certifications are a plus. GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES - Knowledge of Black Knight’s products such as MSP (highly desired), Passport, Mortgage Web Services (MWS) and Remote Procedure Calls (RPCs) a plus
- Ability to understand system data, integrations and dependencies from both internal and external providers
- Knowledge of the mortgage or financial services industry environment and processes required
- Experience working in an Agile environment a plus
- Experience with SharePoint or TFS a plus
- Ability to read and understand SQL and XML a plus
- Ability to read and understand query languages and perform data analysis
- Ability to design solutions and technical requirements by leveraging the appropriate tools and techniques preferred
- Knowledge of the tools, techniques and principles used in application development in objective-oriented development, or other relevant technology
- Proficiency in business modeling and requirements definition disciplines
- Awareness of system-development protocol

Technology Business Consultant IV Expert/lead technical role. Expert knowledge of the field. Develops large and/or highly complex solutions that require analysis and research. Works on multiple projects as a project leader or technical leader/consultant. Works on complex tasks, projects or issues that involve a high degree of risk, impacts business unit performance and makes use of the individuals’ high level of knowledge within one or more areas of technology consulting and business analysis. Coaches and mentors more junior technology business consultants. Works without supervision on the most complex projects. Complete latitude for independent judgment. Typically requires a minimum of ten years of demonstrated senior level mortgage and home equity services industry experience and a minimum of five years of Technology Business Consultant or management experience or the equivalent. Requires experience as the technology business consultant lead on multiple “very large” projects (i.e., projects with duration of more than 10,000 hours or spanning more than 6 months).
