Full-Time Aircraft Maintenance Technician, A&P – 2nd Shift – 200003FS

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team in Columbus, IN.

 

Our Global Integrated Services Aviation team strives to enhance executive and employee productivity by providing safe and efficient aviation services that fuel our business success.  Our fleet consists of three Gulfstream G280 and one Embraer ERJ-135 aircraft.

 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

* Performs Maintenance activities on Cummins Inc. aircraft to assure they are in airworthy condition.

* Performs immediate repairs to each type of aircraft, engines, and equipment if aircraft airworthiness is affected.

* Performs minor repairs to aircraft, engines, and equipment when noted by pilots or found during post-flight inspections.

* Maintains proper records of all maintenance activities and updates the computerized maintenance program.

* Completes aircraft post-flight inspections upon aircrafts return to home base to assure airworthiness.

* Fuels and moves aircraft as needed.

* Purchases parts, supplies, fuel, and equipment cost effectively.

* Travels to major overhaul repair centers to provide job direction and assists or monitor repairs/modifications during major or special inspections.

* Facilitates prompt aircraft arrival and departure by assisting flight crew with passenger baggage.

* Maintains fuel storage facility and related equipment to assure quality control of bulk fuel delivery.

* Completes Federal Aviation Administration Part 125 manual review as required by company manuals.

* Maintains Federal Aviation Administration Inspection Authorization requirements once acquired.

* Completes recurrent aircraft and department training as scheduled.

Routine Aircraft Maintenance – Performs inspection, repair and/or modification of an aircraft, following compliance procedures, to ensure airworthiness and ability to dispatch aircraft when needed.

 

Detailed Aircraft Inspection – Completes systematic examinations, checks and testing of aircraft using appropriate methodologies and in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, in order to ensure airworthiness and ability to dispatch aircraft when needed.

 

Health and Safety Fundamentals – Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.

 

 

 

Education, Licenses, Certifications

 

Active Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Power plant license per Federal Aviation Regulation 65.83.

Inspection Authorization License within one year of hire date per Federal Aviation Regulation 65.91.

 

Experience

 

At least two years of experience on light to heavy corporate jet aircraft.

At least one-year experience on advanced aircraft technology (flight management systems, On Board maintenance system)

 

This position is second shift 2 PM to 10 PM with flexible start time due to flight schedule, some weekend duties due to flight schedule

 

Ability to work alone when needed

 

Self-starter as well as the ability to work in a team environment

 

Act as baggage handler with the ability to lift baggage up to 50 lbs

 

Must be able to obtain a passport

 

Able to travel domestic and internationally when needed (flight technician)

 

Must have your own basic aviation tool kit
