This is an exciting opportunity with the Cummins New Power Business Unit for a Communications Project Coordinator.

 

We are looking for a talented communicator to join our team to help tell the stories of our employees’ innovations, why these new technologies matter and the impact they are making on our communities. This role will be instrumental in coordinating and contributing to the business’ content marketing strategy and editorial board. The role will tell New Power’s story by producing content in a wide variety of forms, including blog posts, videos, photo stories, listicles, case studies and long-form articles. They will coordinate with key business and functional stakeholders from ideation to publication, as well as help to statically amplify the business’ content on digital and social platforms.

* Strong Writer: Clearly express ideas, organize thoughts and convey emotions in written form that connect with diverse audiences – from employees to customers and other external stakeholders. Looking for someone who is strong in both technical writing and conversational style.

 

* Storytelling Skills: Assist in the ideation and development process of creating engaging content to tell Cummins’ story to diverse audiences. Creative thinking and digital marketing familiarity are a plus.

* Strong Organizational Skills: Project management and strong organizational and administrative skills needed to assist the team in coordinating content as well as other projects.

Scope Management – Manages a list of project deliverables (scope) using the recommended project management tools and processes to ensure that the project includes all the work required and only the work required to complete the project successfully.

Project Resource Management – Develops resource (expense and headcount) plans using recommended project management tools and processes to manage resources effectively.

Project Issue and Risk Management – Manages the process to identify, assess and prioritize issues and risks using recommended tools and processes to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of negative events or to maximize the realization of positive events.

 

Education, Licenses, Certifications High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. College or equivalent degree preferred.

 

Experience

Requires significant relevant work experience (4 plus years) or specialized skills obtained through training or on-the-job experience.

 

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience.
