Job Description

Imagine knowing the work you do is changing the face of the healthcare system in Canada. That’s what we do every day at Verto Health, create technology solutions that facilitate access to quality healthcare regardless of geographic location.

Who we are

Verto Health’s Digital Twin platform supports virtual care, streamlines data collection, allows for coordination between healthcare facilities, and acts as a patient engagement hub. Founded in 2017, our goal is to bring Canadian Healthtech to the global stage. Our mission is to build software that delivers improved patient outcomes and experience.

In September 2020, we partnered with McMaster HealthLabs (MHL) to use our technology to facilitate a pilot project to test thousands of travellers a day arriving in Canada for COVID-19. As a result of this successful pilot, and renewed commitment from Air Canada and the GTAA, we’re excited to respond to the demand for well-managed, secure, rapid testing. Read more about the pilot project here.

We are growing our team so we can expand our impact. We are hiring people who share our passion for improving care access, cost and quality using technology.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the optimization and frontline deployment of our revolutionary Verto platforms and change the current Canadian healthcare landscape in direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic – and beyond. You will participate in clinical workflow assessments, customized product configurations, and rollout of the Verto Platform across clinical settings. This is a chance to jumpstart your career in healthtech as you provide value across all stages of clinical implementations.

What’s in it for you

You will work under the leadership of our VP, Clinical Implementations, whose ‘professional superpower’ is the ability to foster outstanding client relationships.

Impact. You will make a tangible and timely impact on the health of Canadians as part of the team implementing a COVID-19 testing solution. Your success in this role will directly result in keeping Canadians safe.

  • Implement. You will configure the customized product, supporting the rollout of the Verto solution.
  • Provide quality assurance. You will ensure implementation requirements are adhered to, all stakeholder communication is transparent and timely, and bring awareness of the need to escalate to the appropriate manager.
  • Learn. You will rapidly come up to speed on processes and procedures, supporting the project as needed, and expanding your knowledge-base.

What you bring

  • The education. You have a Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Life Sciences, or a healthcare delivery field and a Health Informatic certificate. Or, you have a Master’s of Health Informatics.
  • The experience. You have worked in a clinical, health informatics, or technology environment with experience documenting needs, prioritizing tasks, analyzing information, and creating presentations. You have the proven ability to demonstrate empathy in sensitive clinical environments and provide exceptional customer service.
  • The knowledge. You have a high level understanding of the Canadian healthcare industry, and clinical practices and processes. You have exposure to the fundamentals of project management.
  • The passion. You believe in aiming for gold and you are driven to improve access, quality, and efficiency of healthcare. You want to work for a company obsessed with quality and purpose, one that is aiming for gold in the race to make life better for real patients and clinicians.

  • The flexibility. You are responsive to the needs and demands of your clients and can pivot and prioritize with ease. You are motivated by a fast-paced environment and can rise to the challenges of continuous change.
  • The heroics. You have a professional superpower whether it’s the ability to focus on the user experience above all else like our Director of Product Mahmoud, our CFO Anna’s vision building strength, or our CEO Michael’s ability to know exactly when you are having fun (which you should be) and when you aren’t.
