You have the ability and knowledge to partner closely with our merchandising, creative, operations, finance customer service, and technology departments.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Analyze the market to identify and evaluate the new business opportunities that we should pursue. Current opportunities under consideration include offering experiences in addition to our assortment of physical products, developing partnerships with organizations, including museums, entertainment businesses, and design firms, and corporate gifting.
- Communicate opportunities, resources, and trade-offs and results to the company and leadership.
- Establish the objectives, data disciplines, and KPIs/metrics to align cross–departmental teams to deliver results that support and achieve the agreed-on business development goals & objectives.
- Communicate significant trends and learnings as they happen. Feed learnings back into the product discovery process.
- Maintain an in-depth and current knowledge of competitors, innovation, and industry developments.
AS A LEADER, YOU
- Have demonstrated strategic decision-making abilities in identifying new business developments, combined with successful execution.
- Are an innovative thinker that encourages creativity and employs critical thinking in your approach to problem–solving.
- Are an effective collaborator and communicator.
- Are highly persuasive with excellent negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Analyze budgets and financial performance to identify critical business issues.
SKILLS/BACKGROUND
- 5+ years of progressive managerial and leadership responsibilities in business development ventures.
- P&L responsibilities, including a track record of demonstrated success in launching new initiatives.
- Comfortable managing complex projects in an innovative, dynamic environment.
