Full-Time Account Executive

Job Description

The Account Executive will focus on maintaining and driving pharmacy capture rate, increasing pharmacy revenue, identifying on-site pharmacy opportunities with existing clients, and developing HIV/Hep C/PrEP programming.  The Account Executive also drives customer and patient adoption, retains existing customers and patients, and achieves new business growth. The Account Executive is motivated by customer retention, providing business solutions, and identifying opportunities for customers to extend the penetration of Avita among our customers’ patients. The Account Executive works directly with a wide variety of customers providing care to the most vulnerable patient populations in a wide variety of locations throughout the country.

 

NOTE:  This can be a home-based position, but it will require extensive travel covering eight states located in the Midwest, Central, and Southern regions of the United States. The ideal location for a home office is Chicago (or possibly Springfield, IL), but we will consider other locations that are close to a large city airport within the region. The eight states currently included in this region are MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, KY, TN, and AL.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold-calls and emails 
  • Onboard new customers, including training customer staff, providing on-site marketing and training support, and setting up initial patient service workflows in collaboration with Pharmacy Operations 
  • Manage customer relationships by providing on-site support, additional training as needed, service delivery troubleshooting, and marketing programs 
  • Serve as the Client liaison responsible for maintaining existing and growing client pharmacy capture rate, driving revenue growth, and developing HIV/Hep C/PrEP programming 
  • Collaborate with existing clients to identify expansion opportunities including the identification of on-site pharmacy opportunities and referrals to the Sales team 
  • Identify the best opportunities to “pull-through” new patient enrollments from customer organizations 
  • Educate customer staff on Avita’s offerings and determine the best opportunities to present Avita services to patients
  • Where appropriate and with customer permission, use customer relationship management CRM (i.e. SalesForce) or other systems to help mine relevant data to help customers target patients who would benefit from and be eligible for Avita’s services 
  • Participate in Avita sponsored sales, marketing, and community service activities as appropriate 
  • Stay abreast of Avita’s policies and procedures, its workflows, and the relevant regulatory environment surrounding Avita and its customers 
  • Responsible for the initial and ongoing growth of patient enrollment and retention 
  • Utilize company databases, CRM and calendar for account documentation and ensure the timely update of all relevant information 
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s degree in Healthcare and/or MBA is preferred 
  • 5+ years of healthcare industry experience 
  • 2+ years of experience in Sales/Account Management in a B2B environment 
  • Knowledge of 340B and the HRSA database 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with C-suite level individuals
  • Has, or willing to complete 340B basic training on APEXUS (6-hour program) and Advanced 340B Certification 
  • Knowledge of basic principles, theory, regulations, and practices with respect to pharmacy and HIPAA 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills via phone, video conferencing, in person, and presenting to groups 
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to cultivate strategic alliances
  • Effective writing skills
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Exhibit a high degree of professionalism with respect to sensitive medical issues and information 
  • Working knowledge of database, CRM, and electronic document tracking and storage systems 
  • Outstanding customer service skills; with 3-5+ years of experience providing customer service-related functions
  • Willing and able to travel for business as needed, up to 70% 
  • Driver’s license

 

Work Conditions:

 

Note that this is a field-based position requiring on-site visits to Federal Qualified Health Facilities, Ryan White Clinics, Aid Service Organizations, and/or any other clinic designated. Account Management travel requirements can be up to 70% of the time. While client touchpoints can be completed through virtual meetings, pharmacy and clinic visits will continue to be vital during a COVID environment as part of site-specific training, client on-boarding, and launching new pharmacies.
