We are currently hiring for the position of:

Vice President, Corporate Partnerships and Business Development

As an active member of the Senior Management Team, the VP, Corporate Partnerships and Business Development will be responsible for developing strategies that will drive revenue growth, champion an exceptional customer experience, and develop a sustainable competitive advantage within the Canadian and International market. The Vice President, Business Development will also be responsible for understanding overall client needs and aligning the companies service offerings to their goals and strategies.

You will be a leader to an experienced team of Partnership specialists, who you will oversee, coach and assist with sales strategy development and implementation to assist in achieving sales goals and partner support objectives.

This is an entrepreneurial role focusing on new business development and sales with global partners and customers. The Vice President, Business Development should possess a high level of drive, energy and executive presence and will continuously improve efficiencies, processes, procedures and personnel in all areas of responsibility.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As a member of the Senior Management Team, proactively contributes to TIFF’s business initiatives and roadmap
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Sales plan to meet and exceed sales targets, consistent with TIFF’s overall business strategies
  • Oversee the TIFF Partnership portfolio, contributing to TIFF’s financial stability through maximized revenue with Corporate Partnerships
  • Build strong relationships and lead internal activities with cross-functional groups focused on client growth, retention activities and new business development
  • Identify target markets and strategic partnership opportunities that will enable the company to reach its profitable growth objectives; Develop a prospect plan to identify new opportunities that are grounded in solid financial criteria
  • Grow and manage sales activity pipeline for new business through active sales and prospecting techniques
  • Develop, lead and engage a high performance, solutions-oriented team
  • Leverage analytics and market intelligence to develop and implement new ideas, concepts and collaborative approaches
  • Developing quarterly and annual business development strategies to achieve sales growth targets
  • Conceive and curate a sales culture that encourages growth and development of each individual on the team
  • Manage expenses and those of your team members within an approved budget
  • Leadership role in the ongoing development of sales materials and presentations including delivering exceptional presentations and proposals to clients to win business
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle pressure when attempting to meet deadlines and performance goals

 

ANTICIPATED START DATE:

  • November 2020

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 10 years of Business Development and/or Partnerships experience with progressive management, sales, branding, cross-media marketing & promotions
  • Demonstrated and proven experience in developing new business opportunities with potential partner companies, including new client on-boarding
  • Effective negotiator, with the ability to manage complex and critical issues at both a strategic and functional level
  • Strong business acumen in business development, relationship management, cross functional teams, entrepreneurial mindset and a bottom-line orientation
  • Strong marketing, analytical, project management and organizational skills at both a strategic and functional level
  • Experience with building a successful sales team/function; Strong knowledge of sales management and coaching principles with a track record of applying the knowledge
  • Effective influencer who is successful at building long-lasting, respected relationships with senior leaders and internal partners
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results under pressure and adapt to changing business requirements
  • Excellent professional interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills and astute with e-communication
  • Fluency in either Simplified Chinese, Hindi/Urdu, or French preferred but not required
