Full-Time Global Director Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) – 200001AR

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Global Director Diversity Equity & Inclusion professional to join our team specializing in Diversity for Cummins Corporate in your remote home office within the US. The ideal leader  will lead development and implementation of company-wide diversity initiatives, tools and processes focused on the development of a diverse workforce in alignment with diversity strategies to achieve business objectives. Leads the framework development and sponsorship of affinity groups and local diversity councils.

 

 

 

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

 

* Participates in initiatives to improve DE&I training & development performance excellence; leads specific improvement initiatives.

* Facilitates DE&I training for teams and leadership

* Works with team leaders to develop learning interventions that effectively address both organizational and team specific skill gaps

* Collaborates with key partners to determine Global DE&I change needs and appropriate change methodology and best practice

* Provides change leadership for Global DE&I’s highest priority change initiatives applying change principles and toolkit as needed.

* Partners with business and human resources leadership in the design and implementation of strategies and tactics to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce; collaborates with human resource sub functional areas to ensure diversity goals are met.

* Leads the global framework development for affinity group and local diversity councils including ongoing communications; oversees the alignment of work plans; supports the startup of new groups.

* Leads and participates on cross-organizational project teams to design, improve and implement diversity programs and initiatives; ensures effective delivery.

* Leads the development and monitoring of metrics focused on measuring the effectiveness of diversity initiatives.

* Champions an inclusive work environment; demonstrates inclusive behaviors through actions and communications.

* Maintains a strong awareness of diversity issues and trends; educates others on the team and across the organization on diversity issues; coaches and mentors’ line and corporate human resources on diversity issues and trends.

* Maintains strong relationships with diversity training and consulting organizations.

* Ensures the accuracy and completeness of diversity strategy, policy and process documentation. Leads and manages the annual financial and operational planning for diversity groups or specific diversity initiatives.

* Coaches and mentor’s diversity managers and team members; assigns work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance.

Education/Experience

 

* Minimum of 10 years of experience developing and implementing global DE&I strategies

* College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience required
