This is an exciting opportunity in our Engineering Department for a Design Drafter in Malta, NY.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
* Create and maintain drawings and models of Solid Oxide Fuel Cell technologies, ensuring model and drawing quality.
* Create and maintain product specifications utilizing Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing.
* Utilizes Computer Aided Design (CAD) data management tools for configuration control and to maintain security.
* Participate in the maintenance of standards and practices which ensure quality.
* Checks models and drawings prior to release.
* Create assemblies to ensure fit to mating parts.
* Works with engineering to generate concept models.
* Participates and/or leads Drawing and Design Reviews.
* Analyze adequacy of design using various design tools.
* Create Master CAD Models which are used to generate part tooling.
Experience:
* 5 years of experience as a Design Drafter.
* Proven experience using PTC Creo CAD software. Preference for understanding of SolidWorks.
* Strong Mechanical Aptitude.
* Detailed Design experience, taking Design and turning into Drawings.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
* High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education.
* Associates Degree from an accredited college program in a relevant field of study is preferred.
* Certification in 2D or 3D modeling is considered an asset.
Compensation and Benefits:
Base Salary commensurate with experience.
