This is an exciting opportunity in Neillsville, Wisconsin for a Manufacturing Engineer .

 

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

 

-Leads the planning, designing, purchasing, and implementation of changes to the manufacturing equipment and systems while leading and co-leading teams.

 

-Leads the work for specific projects to create and implement all aspects of a manufacturing processes to ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.

 

-Leads by applying the knowledge or use of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.

 

-Impacts the work by utilizing continuous improvement tools, following the Cummins standards, and leading the development of manufacturing standards and working methods.

 

-Leads the communications with and influences key external stakeholders, business leaders, and functional members.

 

-Works with internal and external resources on specific project assignments.

 

-Leads the advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices as they are applied to Cummins.

 

-Maintains relationships and coaches key stakeholders.

Industrial Engineering Knowledge – Integrates the pillars of industrial engineering techniques by applying a comprehensive and quantitative analysis to available data to be used as decision factors for the development or improvement of manufacturing processes to contribute to the most efficient process.

 

Manufacturing Knowledge – Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function’s needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.

 

Optimizes work processes – Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.

 

Education, Licenses, Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree required.

 

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

 

Experience

 

Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.

 

– Subject Matter Expert level experience in Operational Excellence with an ability to handle        continuous improvement and OE projects.

 

– Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

 

– Experience leading multiple projects across Operational Excellence.

 

– Experience in capital projects, scrap reduction, VPI, VPC and regular continuous improvement is preferred, but not required.
