POSITION SUMMARY
The self-motivated Project Manager II is responsible for owning the full life cycle of Engineering projects. This would include project initiation through planning, execution and closing process. Technical knowledge in telecommunications will be a requirement for this position as you will need to interface with multiple internal Engineering Departments throughout the course of each project. We are looking for a creative, dynamic and dedicated individual who will fit with our collaborative culture. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Determine and gain approval for milestones, dependencies, ownership and timeline for Network Optimization site reduction/closure projects.
- Facilitate weekly/daily progress meetings. Ensure appropriate team members are present and accountable.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates and status
- Prepare weekly status report for the project team, program management, executive management
- Oversee project budgets and associated variances
- Manage relationship with internal and external organizations to keep project on track and within budget. Initiate escalations appropriately.
- Track project dependencies, identify and mitigate risks and issues.
- Manage multiple site reductions/closure projects at one time.
