Temporary Performance Media Buyer, Programmatic (Contract)
Job Description
Ask Media group is looking for a programmatic display expert who thrives in fast paced, data driven environments to join us and help build out this new function within the company. This team will be responsible for acquiring ROI positive traffic to Ask and its properties via programmatic display. The person in this role will drive the end-to-end campaign management of programmatic activity, including campaign implementation, optimization, A/B testing, audience development, and reporting.
What you’ll do:
As part of the programmatic traffic acquisition team, you will be responsible for setting up programmatic campaigns and ensuring that campaign best practices (both industry wide and internal) are followed. You’ll collaborate with team members to develop strategies, scale new campaigns, and optimize existing campaign performance. You’ll conduct and analyze A/B tests to improve ROI.
You’ll also be responsible for the day-to-day performance of campaigns including performance summary, issue triage, and outbound communication to external teams and stakeholders to keep them in the loop on program performance. You’ll collaborate with our product and technology teams to improve our dynamic creative generation and provide input to future technical system iteration and optimization.
Our BI team will help with deep-dives and dashboards, but you’ll be expected to pull reports from DSPs and do a lot of heavy lifting on program analysis and performance.
What we’re looking for:
- 4+ years of experience in programmatic display acquisition, with hands-on executional experience in planning and running large-scale programmatic campaigns across major DSPs including DV360, MediaMath, Criteo, and others
- In-depth knowledge of display marketing fundamentals including targeting options and critical dimensions for measuring success (i.e.: device, demographics, etc.)
- Experience managing monthly budgets over $100K
- Experience running A/B tests and measuring results (You don’t need to be a statistician, but you do need to understand statistical significance, why it matters, and how to measure it using commonly available tools.)
- Proven track record handling high campaign volume, large budgets, complex targeting strategies, and driving results
- Strong analytical skills—pivot tables should be second nature to you
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
