Temporary Fundraising Production Coordinator (Banner)

Wikimedia Foundation – Posted by Wikimedia Foundation Anywhere

Job Description

Location: Remote

Summary

The Wikimedia Foundation is looking for a Fundraising Production Coordinator (Banner) to join our team, reporting to the Program Manager.  As the Fundraising Production Coordinator (Banner), you will be a key contributor to our team’s year-round, multilingual fundraising campaigns. The magic of our process is our dedication to controlled (“a/b”) testing, which leverages Wikipedia’s global audience of hundreds of millions of readers to iterate and improve each step in our donor pipeline. In this role, you will support our Global Campaign Manager, Program Manager and Production team to ensure our appeals are localized, translated, and formatted for presentation on Wikipedia and other web properties, and tracked in our reporting systems.

The Production coordinator will be a critical part of content iteration, from initial brainstorming to the final stages of testing. When our priorities are implemented, and the content is QA’d, the Production Coordinator will serve it to the world and monitor its efficacy.

You are responsible for:

Work in our ecosystem of production tools, including a Wikimedia translation interface (Translate on Meta), campaign manager, monitoring spreadsheets, and a variety of web applications
Contribute numerous products as part of our content preparation process, from translated Thank You emails to fundraising appeal variants and webpages
Monitor live tests and surface early impressions of performance to team
Participate in brainstorming sessions and feedback groups to help direct our iterative process
Travel a few times each year, including internationally, for team offsides.

Skills and Experience:

Meticulous attention to detail; “our process is our product.”
Intermediate proficiency in HTML and CSS, as you’ll be navigating our code base to prepare copy tests and contribute light design changes (padding adjustments, paragraph breaks, etc.)
Familiarity with Google Sheets
The ability to thrive in a distributed, international team. Independence and self direction are critical.
A willingness to learn on the job and comfort working within technical environments.

Additionally, we’d love it if you have:

Basic knowledge of JavaScript and GitHub
Experience with multilingual marketing or programs
Prior experience with workflow management software like Asana or Trello
