Job Description
British Triathlon is the internationally recognised governing body for Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquathlon in the UK.
Our continued growth is built on the successful delivery of results through our elite athletes and their medal haul whilst helping everyone to discover, access and enjoy the sport at all levels through our new mass participation initiatives.
We are looking for a web developer to work on the full stack of web development technologies for a fixed term of 6 months to support our current web development team in maintaining and improving existing web applications and in the delivery of new projects over a busy period for the organisation.
The role will involve working in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript both independently and in collaboration with our other web developers. You will be an important part of our project delivery process, helping to scope and build bespoke systems and functionality; you will conduct code reviews; help test applications before release; and make smaller updates to existing systems to improve functionality and efficiency.
The successful candidate will have a passion for web development, be proactive in problem-solving, be able to work well in a team and communicate their ideas clearly. They must be able to write clear, concise, well documented code and have a good understanding of web development security and compatibility.
The role will be based at the British Triathlon headquarters located at Loughborough University; however, the role may require evening and weekend working and occasional travel.
