Full-Time International Program Coordinator
Job Description
General Overview: The International Program Coordinator is responsible for coordination and support of The Climate Reality Project’s international branches. This position will support Climate Reality’s International Team in managing global campaign work, relationships, grants, and day-to-day operations of Climate Reality’s branches and branch programs for over 21,000 Climate Reality Leaders across the world. The ideal candidate will support the International Program in managing a large number of small projects and communications pieces, as well as building cohesive and sustainable global systems/communities to build public support in addressing the climate crisis.
Climate Reality’s international branch program supports and coordinates 10 branch offices globally as they support Climate Reality Leaders in their country/region and implement their own programs, projects, and campaigns. Branches are hosted in countries and regions that have held Climate Reality Leadership Corps Training events in order to establish and maintain localized support for Climate Reality Leaders in the area. They do this through presentation development, coordinating further trainings and meet-ups, providing communications resources, and establishing programs for Climate Reality Leader involvement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Supporting branch programs and campaigns according to their annual strategies.
Supporting the International Program by processing, organizing, and responding to or directing support requests from Climate Reality branches.
Overseeing and maintaining a process for recognizing branch accomplishments for their reported actions and maintaining a database of branch activities.
Supporting the International Program in developing new branch impact stories, particularly identifying those stories that fit together into a larger global impact narrative.
Researching potential funding streams for branches in their regions and internationally.
Supporting the International Program Manager and Project Manager and with quarterly reports and periodic grant administration.
Supporting branch integration within international trainings as applicable.
Supporting and contributing to the development of strong data management practices, program metrics and analysis.
Managing international integration into Climate Reality’s online community, Reality Hub, to include management of regional groups, identifying areas ripe for growth, and gathering input from branches and international Climate Reality Leaders on most effective potential uses.
Helping to prioritize organizational requests from branch offices and international partners.
Traveling occasionally to support international trainings and branch programs.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field.\
International experience working across cultures with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent organization skills and experience in organizing and prioritizing project sets based on substance, urgency and capacity.
Fundraising and/or grant administration experience a plus.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to tell a compelling story.
Self-organized with an excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Additional language proficiency in Portuguese or Japanese is a plus.
Proficiency with Mac preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with Salesforce or similar data management systems.
Authorization to work in the United States of America preferred.
