Role Overview
Braehead Arena is currently searching for an Event Manager to join the team.
A 5200 capacity Events venue, which is also home to the Glasgow Clan Ice Hockey Team,
regularly selling out over 3500 multiple times per week, Braehead Arena hosts a wide
variety of sport, conferences, live entertainment & industry events all year round, with
ambition to do much more.
Braehead Arena is looking for an events professional to help achieve the bold ambitions for
an ever-expanding calendar of events.
Working across both Arena Events & Glasgow Clan Ice Hockey Games the Event Manager
will play a central supporting role in the planning, organisation, and operational delivery of
every aspect of all events hosted at the venue.
This role requires an organised, proactive and hands-on professional who can coordinate
across multiple departments and maintain strong relationships with promoters,
stakeholders, internal teams and our customers.
Reporting to the Head of Venue Operations, The Event Manager will be a key organisational
and operational lead in matters relating to event management, ensuring that every event is
delivered to the highest possible professional standard.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Coordination
• Assist the head of Venue Operations in the end-to-end planning, organisation, and
delivery of all venue events of all types.
• Engage with all departments involved in successful event execution, ensuring
seamless communication and collaboration.
• Lead organisational processes, timelines, and documentation relating to events.
• Support the planning and operational delivery of core ice hockey fixtures.
Stakeholder & Promoter Relations
• Maintain excellent, professional relationships with promoters, partners, suppliers,
and key stakeholders.
• Ensure efficient, timely sharing of information with all relevant parties.
Event Timeline & Administration
• Contribute to all phases of the event lifecycle, including:
o Availability checks and booking requests
o Due diligence activities
o Contractual discussions and coordination
o Assist with onsite event operations, ensuring all elements are prepared,
safe, and meet required standards.
Cross-Department Collaboration
Work closely and develop excellent understandings of the wider team to ensure successful
event delivery across:
• Ticketing
• Marketing & Communications
• Security & Crowd Management
• Food, Beverage & Hospitality
• Technical Services & Production
• Volunteers & Support Staff
Operational Delivery
• Assist and lead event day operations, ensuring all elements are prepared, safe, and
meet venue standards.
• Troubleshoot issues during events and support continuous improvement and
successful delivery of event operations.

• All whilst remaining comfortable working in an event-focused environment,
including evenings, early mornings and weekends as standard.
