Full-Time Sr. GIS Analyst/Data Architect

Job Description
UDC is seeking a full-time Sr. GIS Analyst/Data Architect to provide senior-level expertise regarding GIS/CAD/IT and relational database management systems for floorplans, geospatial, imagery, raster and related attribute schemas and databases, and determine methods for organizing and converting large and complex datasets. This position will report onsite in Washington D.C., 5 days per week.
What you will do
- Provide senior-level expertise regarding GIS/IT relational database management systems for geospatial, imagery, raster and related attribute schemas and databases, and determines methods for organizing large and complex datasets.
- Provide technical expertise in the design and use of databases and their integration with complementary business systems.
- Develop data structures, analyze, evaluate, and recommend advanced architecture, workflows and technology roadmaps to support user requirements.
- Incorporate and implement data and metadata standards in enterprise and local database designs.
- Perform database administration and troubleshooting.
- Re-activate SAFE/FME software licenses under software maintenance.
- Analyze existing SAFE FME workbenches, compare to business requirements, and make improvements.
- Use SAFE FME workbenches to configure CAD data for upload to IBM TRIRIGA using CAD Integrator functionality.
- Compare new and existing GSA building drawings in AutoCAD and Revit to identify discrepancies between drawings with change requests for corrections.
- Compare building drawing files and provide a change report for differences between the compared files.
- Validate that all CAD lines are closed and converted to polygons.
- Ensure text labels exist within each polygon.
- Validate that all files are set with the correct orientation.
- Provide time estimates to complete the associated tasks.
- Provide estimates on expected error rates and their approach to reducing the incidence of errors/re-work.
- Support users with troubleshooting and application usage.
- Develop new source scripts/code to support data processing.
- SAFE FME software maintenance: update product platforms, manage development and test environments and moving workplace from dev to prod, environment reboots, application server restart, remediate memory leak issues, troubleshooting, and support any new code additions, plus other duties as assigned.
- Serve as the key staff on this effort and interface with government personnel regarding development, implementation, and maintenance.
- Responsible for enterprise system planning, design, specification, development, deployment, and implementation of systems and applications for clients.
- Responsible for Safe Software FME Flow (formerly Server) installation, configuration, maintenance, and integration with other systems (including identity vendors).
What we look for from you
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience as an FME developer.
- Have experience with FME workbench development and implementation, including data mining, data integrity, AQ/QC reports, workflow automation.
- Certified FME Professional. Technical areas of expertise in SAFE software FME Flow and FME Form
- All documents, including CAD drawings, data files, test results, and process diagrams must be housed only in the IBM-hosted Tririga environment or on the Judiciary network.
- Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate with the team and clients to identify requirements, issues, solutions, and ideas.
- Attention to detail; strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Location
5 days a week onsite at the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building located in Washington D.C.

Compensation Range
$115,000-$125,000/annually depending on experience and location
