Job Summary
Performs diagnosis, maintenance and repairs to automotive vehicles, small engines, and grounds keeping/snow removal equipment to ensure effective functioning of institutional vehicles and equipment. Serve as a point of contact for individuals and provide updates on repairs and maintenance. Documents completed maintenance and repairs according to established policies and procedures. Supports other areas of Buildings & Grounds with various tasks including but not limited to snow removal, grounds projects and moving furniture/equipment as required.
This position is not eligible for hybrid work and requires 100% onsite work. Hours may include nights, weekends, or holidays.
Minimum Qualifications
• Must possess a valid Wisconsin Driver License and be able to meet or exceed the minimum requirements for driving on state business as described here: https://uwm.edu/risk-management/drivers/
• Available to work overtime (including nights, weekends, or holidays) in response to weather conditions or special events
• Minimum of two years of experience, education or a combination of education and experience in small engine repair
• Minimum of two years of experience, education or a combination of education and experience in vehicle repair
Preferred Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience with maintenance and repairs on Bobcat equipment
• Experience with maintenance and repairs on Kubota equipment
