Full-Time QA/QC Representative
Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented QA/QC Representative to join our team in Kentucky. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of expertise in construction management and field inspection, particularly in complex construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that construction projects comply with all technical specifications, safety standards, and quality assurance requirements. The role includes performing on-site inspections, reviewing reports, tracking deficiencies, and ensuring effective corrective actions are taken to maintain project quality and compliance with USACE standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site inspections to evaluate construction work for compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Perform detailed reviews of contractor quality control reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor construction progress and verify compliance with project schedules and specifications.
- Inspect materials, installations, and testing processes; recommend corrective actions for deficiencies.
- Ensure contractor adherence to project schedules, work plans, and required quality standards.
- Perform quality assurance inspections in accordance with USACE standards and verify that materials and workmanship meet contract requirements.
- Provide timely Quality Assurance Reports (within 24 hours) after conducting preparatory and initial inspections.
- Confirm proper site layout, elevations, and QC requirements are in place prior to work initiation.
- Track deficiencies and ensure that corrective actions are documented and effectively implemented.
- Conduct offsite inspections of fabricated materials and items to confirm compliance before delivery to the job site.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management and field inspections.
- Proven track record in managing and inspecting complex construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction quality assurance, scheduling, and safety compliance.
- Strong analytical skills to assess contractor performance and resolve issues.
- Expertise in maintaining detailed documentation and reporting, including familiarity with USACE Resident Management System (RMS).
- Advanced knowledge of interpreting plans and specifications, as well as reviewing as-built drawings.
- Familiar with EM 385‐1‐1 (USACE Safety and Health Requirements Manual) and OSHA Construction Industry Regulations (29 CFR 1926).
- Experience reviewing and evaluating contractor claims, including identifying relevant drawings and correspondence.
- Skilled in conducting field inspections to ensure acceptable workmanship and compliance with project requirements.
