The Talent Solutions Specialist is part of of the Talent Solutions Team serving businesses throughout the Spokane area. As a consultant, every day is a chance to serve as a connection point to a system that is often challenging to navigate. The Talent Solutions Specialist provides a comprehensive commitment of service to employers and partner services as a member of Career Path Services and the Talent Solutions Team. This position is charged with developing and implementing innovative, solution-based strategies for performing the duties associated with supporting the community’s shared economic and workforce development goals. The Talent Solutions Specialist works on a team that provides a variety of services with the purpose of connecting area businesses to job seekers. A successful Talent Solutions Specialist will be performance driven, entrepreneurial, experienced working with the target population, know how to take the broad elements of a program model and customize to the needs of the program participant and each system to meet the goals of the program and fund source. In this role you will need an eye for detail, flexibility and the ability to work at the pace of business.

This position is full time and is a hybrid position, working in both the Spokane WorkSource office and remote.

ABOUT THE JOB
The major responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Engage job seekers, partners, and business in coordinated effort to place and retain job seekers in self-supporting employment within the targeted industry. Possess knowledge of partner program services, and employer staffing needs.
  • Utilize fact-finding, active listening, analytical and presentation skills to identify employer needs and develop staffing plans to meet those needs.
  • Contact prospective employers to identify job openings and assist in developing and implementing hiring, retention and wage progression plans.
  • Maintain employer satisfaction by meeting or exceeding all commitments within the agreed to timeframe. Expand business relationships into areas not previously considered “traditional” business services.
  • Establish business and service (training/education) provider networks that include an array of service providers who can help meet the needs of business and broker the provider/business relationship.
  • Work in collaboration with management, employers, team, and partners, to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to include goals, objectives, activities and timeframes for successfully accomplishing all contractual and program elements.
  • Plan, prepare, and present workshops, seminars and proposals to groups and individuals. Use verbal, written, and media skills to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences.
  • Facilitate business, community, and industry panels to identify industry trends, current and future staffing needs, and job skills and training requirements. Engage businesses with job seekers to provide relevance based on industry needs and expectations.
  • Develop, expand, and maintain working relationships with partners, employers, and fund sources that achieve desired outcomes by identifying needs, developing solutions, establishing goals, and executing plans. Timely, consistent, and professional communication is essential to the success of the program.
  • Collaborate with team, partners and business to develop comprehensive recruiting and service delivery plans, and execute the plans to achieve goals. Develop a comprehensive tracking process including data gathering, analysis, and reporting. Use results data to evaluate plan effectiveness and modify activities as needed.
  • Participate on various committees on the Spokane WorkSource Campus and others as appropriate.

EXPERIENCE/POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in Business Administration, Human Resources, Sales and Marketing, or a related field.
  • Requires use of: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, LinkedIn, and other business-related networking applications, as appropriate.
  • Must be able to work in a culturally diverse and fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity and cultural competency.
Preferred
  • A degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Sales and Marketing, or a related field.
  • Job development experience with public or private employers a plus
  • Prefer expertise in using Social Media tools for recruiting and communicating.
  • Use of CRM software or territory management program.

Job: Talent Solutions Specialist
Primary Location: Spokane WorkSource
Salary: Pay range for salary offers: $53,000-59,000 annually, DOE, plus benefits. Full salary range for lifetime of position is $53,000-78,000 annually.
