Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Palo Alto, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and evaluating new projects, coordinating with other engineering disciplines, and developing innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges. You will design systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Additionally, you will manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables, overseeing projects from scoping through construction support. Your work will focus on ensuring safety, constructability, and context sensitivity in all designs.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee company operations in alignment with the organization’s strategic plans, ensuring effective management and supervision of all activities.
- Ensure the efficient and effective use of resources, including staff and finances, while maintaining compliance with local and global standards.
- Act as the local coordinator to support Planate’s operations in Thailand, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and needs.
- Adapt and improve the staffing and operational concepts of Planate in Thailand.
- Collaborate with headquarters and other country managers, sharing insights and strategies across global operations.
- Mitigate communication barriers and understand cultural nuances, fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and processes, guiding subordinates to do the same.
- Support all local and international projects and programs, ensuring seamless coordination between teams.
- Represent Planate as the key point of contact for clients and staff, managing relationships and operations effectively.
- Coordinate logistics, including staff deployments, safety protocols, and any other support services required.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of client management experience.
- Proven ability to establish and nurture business relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
