Looking to launch your professional career? Join the NCDMV Motor Vehicle Professionals (MVP) program. MVP is an opportunity for recent graduates with a passion for transportation, public service, and the leadership to explore and make an impact at NCDMV.
You will be a key player working on mission-critical projects/programs and gaining experience in our industry-leading initiatives, operations, and management on our Vehicle Services’ School Bus & Traffic Safety team. This 18-month full-time role comes with a salary and full State benefits from Day 1. You will have the opportunity to explore leadership opportunities and projects in several NCDMV units, including Business Services, the Commissioner’s Office, Customer Compliance, Driver Services, License and Theft, Training and Development, Safety, and Vehicle Services. We are looking for highly motivated emerging professionals skilled in business, public service, public relations, and administrative leadership.
In this role, you will:
- Learn customer service skills to deliver excellence to the public in vehicle registration.
- Develop your technical skills to process customer requests using our STARS program.
- Learn to exam titles, registrations, and identification documents to detect fraud, altered, or suspicious items and manage payments.
- Inspect title and registration documents to ensure they are executed according to NC General Statutes and that fees are collected/adjusted according to the statutes.
- Learn to research and respond to transactions, such as title records cancellations, address changes, requests for certified records, real estate/mobile home cancellations, and general inquiries/correspondence.

Education & Experience
- High school/GED diploma, and
- 2+ years of related administrative experience; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Management Prefers
Candidates with experience:
• Reviewing detailed documents and records for accuracy and authenticity.
• Recording, compiling, summarizing, analyzing data.
• Balancing a cash drawer.
