Full-Time Financial Analyst
Job Description
We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team in Nairobi County, Kenya, with a partially remote work arrangement. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Accounting team, Credit Card Reconciliation team, and Financial Planning & Analysis team to compile, analyze, and report financial data, including metrics on credit card charges and monthly financials. You will also assist in budgeting and forecasting.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze monthly credit card transactions to identify trends, patterns, and any irregularities.
- Monitor actual credit card spending against budget and forecast, providing insights for corrective actions.
- Prepare monthly financial metrics and trend reports related to credit card spending and usage.
- Support monthly financial reporting and analysis, focusing on revenue, expenses, and profit results.
- Assist in weekly cash reporting and cash flow projections to ensure financial stability.
- Conduct financial research to inform strategic decision-making and improve financial processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ad-hoc projects to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies in all reporting activities.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as necessary to support overall financial objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- At least 5 years of experience in finance and/or accounting.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, with a strong understanding of financial metrics.
- Highly skilled in Excel, with the ability to create complex financial models and reports.
- Experience with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) accounting system is preferred.
- Familiarity with government contracts/projects is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Willing to work in Nairobi County, Kenya.
