Full-Time FF&E Drafting Technician
Job Description
We are looking for an FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) Drafting Technician to join our team in Palo Alto, CA. In this role, you will collaborate with interior designers and equipment planners to develop and maintain FF&E documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of interior design projects, particularly within the healthcare, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Interior Designers and Medical Equipment Planners to establish and uphold FF&E drawing documentation standards.
- Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of drawings to ensure they meet established guidelines and standards.
- Conduct site surveys, obtain existing AutoCAD and Revit FF&E files, and develop As-Built drawings.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive AutoCAD and Revit FF&E library, maintaining a systematic filing system for easy retrieval and reference.
- Assist the VA with Vlogic in creating and maintaining a digital As-Built database for drawings and related documents.
- Provide regular updates on the progress of FF&E drafting projects, promptly reporting any concerns or necessary modifications.
- Ensure all FF&E documentation adheres to industry regulations and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate feedback and ensure project alignment.
- Conduct quality control checks on drafted documents to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Perform other related responsibilities as needed to support the team and project objectives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting and CAD/BIM file management for interior design or architecture projects, with a focus on healthcare, commercial, or industrial buildings.
- Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit Architectural Design and AutoCAD for Design and Drafting is preferred.
- Proficient in Revit, demonstrating competency in modeling, documentation, collaboration, project standards, and information analysis.
- Skilled in AutoCAD, with the ability to manage application and drawing content, design annotation, and output configuration.
- Knowledgeable about building codes, regulations, and safety standards relevant to the industry.
- Capable of interpreting architectural, interior design, and engineering plans and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex drafting projects independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders and the production of technical reports.
- CAD and Revit work samples are required for review.
- Must lawfully reside in the United States and be eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits).
