Job Description
British Triathlon is the National Governing Body for Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquathlon in Great Britain, responsible for raising the profile and delivering medal-winning performances and helping everyone discover, enjoy and achieve in triathlon.
Triathlon England is one of the three Home Nations of British Triathlon, the other two being TriathlonScotland and Welsh Triathlon. The three Home Nation Associations are responsible for all aspects of triathlon in their respective countries, and contribute to the work of British Triathlon.
British Triathlon are looking to recruit an IT Technical & Systems Support Assistant to join their IT department. The role holder will act as the first point of contact for both office-based and remote staff, diagnosing and resolving staff’s daily issues; managing and configuring staff hardware, software and mobile devices; maintaining and developing the organisation’s IT systems such as our printers, email, networking and file storage solutions; providing reports from our databases and helping test new or updated systems.
We are looking for a proactive, organised person who has a keen interest in IT and a desire to learn and improve their skills. The successful candidate will need to be able to handle multiple tasks within their working day, demonstrating good attention to detail and being able to prioritise their workload. They should enjoy independently problem solving IT issues and they should be able to interact well with staff, be it in person or on the phone.
The role will be based at the British Triathlon headquarters located at Loughborough University; however, the nature of the role may require evening and weekend working and occasional travel.
