We are currently looking for a Warehouse Assistant to join The Sovini Group.

This position is a fixed term opportunity for 12 months.
As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be expected to:
- Be responsible for the picking and packing of customer orders, ensuring all orders are ready in time for loading of a Sovini Trade Supplies vehicles/collections.
- General warehouse duties including stock replenishment, goods receiving and stock audits.
- A flexible attitude and work ethic is required for the role, as your assistance in other departments of Sovini Trade Supplies on occasion, will be required.
- Commit to equality and diversity and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
- Adhere with the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.
To be successful in a Warehouse Assistant role, the skills you will need:
- Experience of working in a warehouse/builder’s yard environment, preparing sales orders, receiving deliveries, and controlling stock.
- Experience of using a dedicated ERP system used for all customer/supplier transactions.
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload to meet strict deadlines.
- Good organisational and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.

Experience or Knowledge of the below would be advantageous but not essential:
- Achieved an accredited qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent).
- Relevant H&S qualifications / training.
- Knowledge of legislation, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to warehouse operations.
- A thorough understanding and strong commitment to Equal Opportunities Policy issues, demonstrating a commitment to working effectively with an Equal Opportunities Framework.
- Counterbalance FLT license.
