Our core area of expertise is the development and management of cyber range capabilities, implementation of policies, processes and tools required to conduct cyber assessments, and cyber workforce development using Project Ares gamified training platform. Circadence has spent more than a decade working with the Joint Information Operations Range (JIOR) and Joint Mission Environment Test Capability (JMETC) Multiple Independent Levels of Security (MILS) Network (JMN), building cyber ranges and participating in cyber T&E, exercises, and training events. JMN is now part of the National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC). Research and development programs focus on tools and services to enhance cyber operations.

Job Description

Serves as Sr. Software Engineer for Cyber research and development applications. Works directly with Government customers and Circadence engineering staff to design, prototype, develop, integrate, and test software for complex and advanced software applications. Principal responsibilities include:

• Plans, conducts and technically directs projects or major phases of significant projects

• Develops software solutions for complex customer requirements

• Defines requirements based on customer input. Leads the completion and implementation of technical software products and supporting documentation

• Develops back-end services, reusable code and libraries for future use

• Ensure the technical feasibility of software designs

• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

• Create user stories along with tasks to move across swim lanes

• Communicates (both verbally and in writing) with team members, managers, and customers on complex and difficult engineering/software issues pertaining to assigned tasks.

This is a permanent full-time position.
Required

Have at least 5 years of experience in software development.
Technical knowledge/experience in Linux, virtualization (Docker, Kubernetes, ESXI)
Programming experience in one or more of the following: Python, GO, C++, Java, C, C#.Net, GRPC, MongoDB, SQL, PL/SQL, BASH, Ruby, AngularJS, PHP, JavaScript, XML, JSON
Experience working within an integrated development environment and using tools such as: Git, Jira, VSTS, SVN, Sharepoint and Redmine
Experience in applying Lean software principles (Agile, Spiral, Waterfall)
Experience working with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
Knowledge / experience in cyber focused software applications, cybersecurity policies and products (STIG, SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, WAF, endpoint security, exploit development)
Experience developing full-stack applications, APIs and building automation tools and scripts
Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
Must be located at or near Huntsville, AL; Orlando, FL; Tupelo, MS, or be willing to relocate
Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or related technical discipline from accredited college or university is required plus five (5) years of Software Engineering experience.
US Citizen/US Resident required. Ability to obtain a security clearance is required. Existing US Government security clearance a plus.
