In a newly created role the Territory Sales Manager will deliver the best-in-class retail, distribution, and management structure. Develop and deliver short to medium term strategies for the territory in accordance with company objectives. Delivery of the volume, revenue and gross profit targets as agreed in the annual budget process. And be responsible for superior account, distributor, and broker management. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for specific Territory as listed above, and accounts listed below with a sales budget of at least $3 – $4 million USD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve annual budgeted net sales and profit targets for the territory while managing within assigned trade budget.
- Achieve annual shipper budget.
- Build medium term territory and account strategy in line with overall company objectives.
- Develop annual Joint Business Plans for top customers in territory.
- Deliver annual sales and promotional plans by account.
- Recommend changes to sales structure and route to market in conjunction with management.
- Identify and manage new business opportunities and new ways of working.
- Total responsibility for brokers, distributors, retail chains for territory including but not limited to:
- Monthly Broker Scorecard Reviews
- Monthly ACV & TDP targets
- Monthly Distributor updates
- Broker quarterly reviews
- Cost Management for territory including:
- Trade spend budget
- Trade Planning system (TPM) for all assigned customers
- Deduction control
- Expense report management
- Broker contract management
- Minimum of 2-3 retailer headquarter meetings per chain per year.
- Market visits with Sr. Region Sales Manager and Director of Sales.
- Positively exhibit core values of organization.
- Adhere to all company policies.
- Participate in 2 Sales meetings, various industry trade shows, and an annual Twinings North America company meeting.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 4-8 years minimum sales experience
- College graduate or equivalent in experience
- Demonstrable success of managing people and developing teams
- Demonstrable success managing change and growth
- Demonstrable success in attaining volume numbers and managing profitability
- Experienced in Commercial Category Management
- Experienced in managing relationships with distributors, retailers and brokers
- Business and commercial acumen skills
- Superb analytics experience
- Excellent people skills
- Excellent presentation and delivery experience
- Exceptional computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Very effective communication skills
