PURPOSEServe as a vital and adaptable support system to our sales team, offering administrative aid, enhancing client relationships, and maintaining the efficiency of our sales department.

Coordinate the smooth execution of our trade shows nationwide.

SCOPEReporting into the US National Account Manager for Alternate Channels, this role will work to support across the US Sales team, with a primary focus on Food Service, Office Coffee Supply and Trade Shows. A vital asset for this position is recognizing where additional support can enhance the sales team’s performance.

Based in Rutherford, NJ this role will join a growing team of 19 dedicated US Sales & Category specialists delivering across multiple channels. It is a role suitable for someone who is keen to build their business understanding and delivering results.

ACCOUNTABILTIIES
  • Providing versatile administrative support to the sales team, ensuring that we can always be selling! This could be anything from preparing samples, organizing travel for key meetings, working in the field for a day with a distributor partner, auditing retailer & distributor websites to make sure they are up to date.
  • Filling out New Item paperwork for distributors and key accounts.
  • Monthly calls of current strategic accounts in contract to ensure compliance, i.e., Airline clubs, Restaurants, and hotels.
  • Own the coordination of trade shows by leading the organization and logistics to ensure they run smoothly.
  • Assist in the preparation of sales presentations, sell sheets, spec sheets and other documentation to support with the selling process.
  • Support our Food Services National Account Manager through updating price lists, calling and checking on key locations, carrying out compliance checks and searching out local account prospects.
  • Support sales representatives during client meetings, trade shows, and other promotional events as needed.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for expanding market reach and increasing sales revenue.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information and client communications.
  • Cold Calling and prospecting with HUNTER mentality
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Seeking an individual with experience in sales support, customer service, or administrative tasks, with a background in the CPG industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication, facilitating effective engagement with clients and colleagues.
  • Comprehensive organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to balance responsibilities and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Shows initiative with a willingness to learn and take initiative in a high-energy environment.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles, including understanding of retail channels and distribution networks, is an asset.
  • Capable of contributing effectively to team efforts as well as taking on tasks solo with little oversight required.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs as required.
  • Availability to travel occasionally for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
