What would a typical day look like as the IT Systems & Data Support Specialist at Digicomm International?

When our customers, the largest cable operators and service providers all over the world, request quotes for products, you will work with IT, finance, sales, customer service, product, and procurement teams to ensure that Digicomm Employees have the tools needed to complete requests. You will use your passion for continuous improvement and test-driven development to help internal customers. In fact, you would be deeply valued for your programming Jedi skills, Excel wizardry, and solution design. You will test yourself to see how to improve existing processes, platforms, ERP, EDI, data structure, and BI reporting. This role will involve proactively identify issues and propose solutions, as well as providing ongoing maintenance support and enhancements. You will leave the office every day knowing that your work enables our customers to seamlessly run their businesses and deliver critical communications infrastructure around the world.

What we’ll expect from you and what you’ll be doing?

  • Serve as an ERP specialist for product application software development projects of moderate to high complexity.
  • Act as a lead data administrator for MS SQL.
  • Workflow analysis, integrations/APIs, and overall ERP System maintenance.
  • Analyze, design, and develop specifications for enhancements and extensions with EDI application interfaces and maps.
  • Ensures proper configuration and set-up of the EDI tools and systems that support file transfer between internal and external trading partners.
  • Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.
  • Work collaboratively with existing data architecture, data strategy, and improve processes for data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
  • Assist with hands-on development with Python and PowerBI Reporting.
  • Work with team and clients for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks.
  • Create and update project plans and/or task checklists for assigned projects.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Participate and help implement new procedures and guidelines to enhance productivity, quality, and best practices, defining and evaluating metrics to improve performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate processes.
  • Update internal SharePoint with basic site administration.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and technologies.
  • Other duties and tasks can include items related to minor desktop support and systems infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent technical experience
  • 3-4 years experience with ERP systems
  • 3-4 years experience working with EDI
  • Familiarity with RDBMS technologies (MS SQL and MS Access)
  • Advanced skills with MS Suite (Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Experience with business processes and integration flow
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information into business objectives.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently and collaboratively to meet requirements in a dynamic team environment
  • Strong critical thinking skills with a proven ability to improve processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency
  • A team player, growth oriented, and capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment is crucial, with the ability to consistently revise approach in response to new information, and to be flexible and adaptive as we continue to grow
  • Flexibility to be available on weekends (a couple times a year) if needed for projects

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in data modeling, schema design, processing, and database management Experience with several languages including Python, SQL, Visual Studio tools
  • Experience with DevOps toolchains such as Git, Jira, and Azure DevOps
  • Experience in Access, Power BI, Excel, Power User, and other modern BI Reporting tools
  • Experience with MS Windows Server and AD environment
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud development technologies and best practice

This position offers a competitive compensation package including a base salary range of $65,000 – $100,000 per year and the opportunity to earn a quarterly bonus based upon personal and company performance. Digicomm also offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
