Full-Time Event Logistics & Registration Manager

National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) is searching for an Event Logistics & Registration Manager who’s ready to take charge of our registration, housing, and event space planning for our major events. In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind smooth logistics, exceptional customer service, and the overall success of events (with support from a great team, of course).

This position is full-time and requires you to be onsite Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays. We offer a supportive and healthy work culture, competitive salary, and excellent benefits. Duties require some travel, comprising up to 15% of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and implement the setup for NADA Show, ATD Show, Washington Conference, and Auto Forum registration and housing. Coordinate with vendors, test applications, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Monitor and analyze registration and hotel reservations, providing actionable insights and feedback on emerging trends.
  • Handle contract negotiations with citywide overflow hotels and cultivate strong relationships with hotel sales contacts to secure the best rates and terms for NADA.
  • Oversee all function space requests and, work with housing vendor, to allocate room block requests for affiliates during the NADA and ATD Shows. Utilize spatial reasoning and a tiered allocation system to strategically assign hotel meeting spaces to various groups.
  • Provide top-tier service to board members, VIPs, and attendees. Manage the convention hotline and support registration and housing inquiries.
  • Display strong project management skills with a creative approach to problem-solving and a keen attention to detail.

Skills & Qualifications:

  •  Associate’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Communications, Business Administration, or a comparable amount of relevant training or experience is required. A CMP designation is preferred, or a willingness to pursue one.
  • Minimum of 5 years in registration and housing or hotel reservation experience. Familiarity with attendance management software preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Maritz & Cvent registration systems, Airtable, and association management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure, strong negotiating skills, attention to detail, and a knack for building and maintaining relationships.
