Maintenance Supervisor
This is a working supervisor position that is responsible for leading a team comprised of highly skilled technicians to ensure proper maintenance of brewery systems, as well as maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting mechanical systems in all areas of the brewery. This position will focus on our Utilities and Mechanical maintenance.
Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Directly supervise and mentor team; appraise performance, provide feedback, training and development; assist in hiring/firing process and decision making
- Develop annual budgets, monitor, and align with department initiatives
- Lead team to resolve daily issues; schedule major rebuilds and schedule downtime; identify critical spare parts; perform maintenance on equipment, and troubleshoots problems
- Develop safety procedures and ensure policies and procedures are followed; lead efforts to safely lock out equipment as required
- Develops maintenance requirements and training checklists; recommend and advise on new equipment
- Provide on call response and support for anomalies and failures
Desired Skills/Experience (but not limited to):
- High School diploma plus 8 years of related experience or equivalent training and experience
- Trained and certified in Confined Space, Hazwopper, and LOTO
- Trained and certified, Osha 10 hour and 30 hour
- Proven leadership skills and ability to lead and direct the work of others
- Expert mechanical working knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Expert knowledge of brewing, production process
- Expert knowledge of chemical handling and abilities
- Expert knowledge with scheduling maintenance outages
- Solid electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, welding abilities
- Solid experience with Lathes, Drill press, and other specialized mechanical tools
- Expert understanding of engineering concepts in sanitary applications
- Expert understanding of reading and interpreting P&ID’s and construction drawings
- A post offer/pre-hire assessment will be performed to insure the candidate can meet the physical requirements of the job:
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 80lbs., and carry objects weighing up to 47lbs up to 100 feet
- Ability to push/pull weights up to 75 lbs. and maintain the grip strength required to carry objects including buckets and boxes
- Must show fine motor dexterity
- Ability to climb stairs, stoop, crawl, twist, squat and reach overhead
- Requires frequent, constant standing and walking
Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Bell’s and New Belgium’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.
Starting Wage Range: $36.00 – $41.00
